The shell huts in Grosvenor Gardens were built in 1952 in commemoration of Marshal Foch.

Marshal Foch was a military theorist and the Allied Généralissime during the First World War. The gardens are also home to a statue dedicated to Foch in the 1930s at the gardens entrance.

Today they are used for storage of gardening tools and maintenance of the grounds.
