Greenman Street Baths (Tibberton Baths) was built on the site of Tibberton Square and opened in 1895 as part of the “Baths and Wash-Houses Act of 1846.”

Built with a metal framed skeleton, the baths comprised of a main mixed bathing pool with a spectators gallery and dedicated pools for both sexes.

The mixed pool was about 25 metres in length by 10 metres wide, with 3ft of water in the shallow end by 6ft in the deep end.

Closed in 1984, the metal framework was saved and in 1987 it was re-rected in a public park on Wontner Close off Greenman Street.
