The viewing platform of Lord Byron in Harrow on the Hill was his “favourite spot” in London whilst a pupil at Harrow School between 1801 and 1805.

George Gordon Byron, the 6th Lord Byron (1788-1824), first began to write his poetry whilst at Harrow.

Commonly known simply as Lord Byron, was an English poet and a leading figure in the Romantic movement.

Among Byron’s best-known works are the lengthy narrative poems Don Juan and Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage and the short lyric She Walks in Beauty. He is regarded as one of the greatest British poets and remains widely read and influential.
